Bill Smitrovich Trivia

Bill Smitrovich Mini Biography

Connecticut-born actor Bill Smitrovich (on May 16, 1947) started his acting career rather late. A Masters degree holder from Smith College and a former acting teacher at the University of Massachusetts, the hefty actor earned his big break in an understudy role in the world premiere of 'Arthur Miller (I)''s "The American Clock" at the Spoleto Festival, a production that went to Broadway. Other stage parts have included "Food from Trash," "Requiem for a Heavyweight," "Far East" and "Frankie & Johnny at the Claire de Lune." Bill was a founding member of the No Theatre Company, now in association with the Wooster Group, whose members included 'Willem Dafoe' and the late 'Spalding Gray'. Bill made his 1978 New York debut in the company's production of "The Elephant Man." In the early 1980s he started tackling film and TV roles, often playing cops and assorted villainous types. He made his film debut in a small role in A Little Sex (1982) and went on to play a prime part in the TV-movie pilot of "Miami Vice" (1984). A co-starring detective part on the series "Crime Story" (1986) led to more visibility. He finally became a household face (if not quite a name) as former construction worker-turned-restaurateur Drew Thatcher, the father of three on the critically acclaimed dramatic series "Life Goes On" (1989). Co-starring with 'Patti LuPone' (of "Evita" fame), they played parents to a son born with Down Syndrome (portrayed by 'Chris Burke (I)'). The much-admired family-oriented show, which went on to deal with other topical themes such as AIDS, lasted four seasons. Since then Bill has involved himself in raising public consciousness and sensitivity of Down Syndrome. He has hosted the annual "Life Goes On Celebrity Golf Classic" for the Down Syndrome Association of Los Angeles. Following this TV success, Bill co-starred on the "A Nero Wolfe Mystery" (2001) with 'Timothy Hutton' and 'Maury Chaykin', had a recurring chief prosecutor role on "The Practice" (1997) and played a lieutenant in the Fox hit series "Millennium" (1996/I). His many film roles include Key Exchange (1985), Renegades (1989), The Trigger Effect (1996) with Dermot Mulroney, Independence Day (1996) with 'Will Smith (I)', a strong role as a public defender in 'Rob Reiner''s Ghosts of Mississippi (1996), Air Force One (1997) and, more recently, as a general in 'Kevin Costner''s Cuban Missile Crisis drama Thirteen Days (2000). He also played 'Alexander Haig' in the TV-movie biopic on 'Ronald Reagan (I)' starring 'James Brolin' and 'Judy Davis (I)'. Bill is married with two children.

Paul Dion Monte was born on April 7th 1967, in Washington, DC, and raised by his mother Rosa in a single-parent household. When he was nine years of age Rose married and the family relocated to Sacramento, California, where he began his acting career in junior high school plays, and eventually community theater. When he was 18 his cousin, Sylvester Stallone, gave him his start in the film business in Cobra (1986), in which he was Sly's stand-in and had a small part of The Supermarket Clerk. Albert Popwell Mini Biography

Handsome, leanly built African-American actor who notched up guest appearances in dozens of well rated US TV shows including "Mannix" (1967), "McCloud" (1970), "Emergency!" (1972) and "Magnum, P.I." (1980). However, he's better known to cult films fans for his portrayal of character "Matthew Johnson" in the successful blaxploitation films Cleopatra Jones (1973) and the sequel Cleopatra Jones and the Casino of Gold (1975). Popwell additionally co-starred alongside screen icon 'Clint Eastwood' in five feature films starting off as "Wonderful Digby" in Coogan's Bluff (1968). The next four occasions were in several of the highly popular "Dirty Harry" films, firstly as wounded bank robber at the receiving end of Eastwood's now legendary, "Do you feel lucky punk ?" speech in the opening minutes of Dirty Harry (1971). He was back as a sadistic pimp murdering a greedy call girl with a can of drain cleaner before being executed by a vigilante motorcycle cop in Magnum Force (1973), and he was still on the wrong side of the law as a militant "Black Power" styled activist named "Big Ed" Mustapha in Enforcer, The (1976/I). Nathan Barr Mini Biography

Nathan Barr began studying music in Tokyo, Japan at the age of four. He grew up surrounded by eclectic music ranging from Kabuki Theater, to the sounds of his mother performing on the koto and piano, to his father playing the banjo, guitar, and shakuhachi. His interest in music was further influenced by extensive travels around the world, where he experienced music ranging from Bali's Kecak Orchestras to China's Beijing Opera. Several years later he moved to New York, where he chose to study the cello after falling in love with the Dvorak Cello Concerto. He also began playing guitar, and upon graduating from high school, received his first set of bagpipes. During the summer of 1993, he toured Italy and Switzerland with the Juilliard Cello Ensemble. Upon graduating from college, he joined the industrial alternative rock group V.A.S.T. (Elektra Records) for a short time, playing guitar and electric cello. Looking to explore a career in film music, he moved to Los Angeles in 1996, where he met Academy Award-winning film composer Hans Zimmer, who invited him to join him as his assistant. During his time with Hans, he worked on many projects ranging from the Jim Brooks hit comedy As Good As It Gets (1997) to 'Terrence Malick''s The Thin Red Line (1998). In 1998, Nathan struck out on his own after landing his first feature film entitled Hairshirt (1998), directed by Dean Paras, and starring 'Neve Campbell' and 'Rebecca Gayheart'. Since then he has scored more than ten films ranging from the critically acclaimed documentary Beyond The Mat (1999), directed by 'Barry Blaustein' for Universal Studios, to the 'Quentin Tarantino' produced Hangman's Daughter (2000) (V), for Miramax. He has also worked in television where he scored the CBS drama "Kate Brasher" (2001), starring 'Mary Stuart Masterson', produced by 'Danny DeVito' and 'Stephen Tolkin'. Yelena Solovey Mini Biography

Elena Solovey is a Russian-American film and stage actress best known for her works with director 'Nikita Mikhalkov'. She was born Elena Yakovlevna Solovey on February 24, 1947, in Neushtrelitz, East Germany. Her parents met in Berlin at the end of the Second World War. Her father, Yakov Solovey, was an artillery officer in the Red Army. Her mother was a medical nurse. Young Elena Solovey lived in Germany until the age of 4, then moved to Novosibirsk, Siberian Russia, where her father continued his military career, then moved to Moscow. Elena Solovey had a dream of becoming an actress. She was fond of art, music, films and theatre, and attended a school of music in addition to her high school. Eventually she became a music teacher at a Moscow school, after failing to enter the Soviet State Institute of Cinema (VGIK). However, she was persistent and determined in pursuit of her dream, and a year later, she was admitted to VGIK, studied at the acting class of 'Boris Babochkin', graduating in 1970 as an actress. Elena Solovey made her film debut in short films during the 1960s, while a VGIK student. In 1969 she played her first serious role as Clarice in Korol-olen (1969) by director Pavel Arsyonov. In 1970 she was invited to the troupe of Maly Theatre in Moscow. There Solovey was cast as Nina in "The Seagull" by Chekhov, albeit she followed her heart and married a Leningrad artist, Yuri Pugach, and the couple settled in Leningrad. There Solovey worked at Lenfilm Studios. During the 1970s Solovey played her best known roles, such as Olga Vosnesenskaya (alluding to 'Vera Kholodnaya'), opposite 'Rodion Nahapetov' in Raba lyubvi (1976), as Sofia opposite 'Aleksandr Kalyagin' in Neokonchennaya pyesa dlya mekhanicheskogo pianino (1977), and as Olga opposite 'Oleg Tabakov' in Neskolko dney iz zhizni I.I. Oblomova (1980), all films by director 'Nikita Mikhalkov'. From 1983 - 1991 Elena Solovey was member of the troupe at Theatre of Lensoveta in St. Petersburg (Leningrad), Russia. There she appeared in leading and supporting roles in Russian and international stage production. Her last work on stage in St. Petersburg was the acclaimed production of "Foto-finish" written and directed by 'Peter Ustinov'. There director Peter Ustinov cast Elena Solovey as a co-star opposite 'Petr Shelokhonov' as the male lead, supported by Anna Aleksakhina, Roman Gromadsky, and other notable Russian actors. In the fall of 1991, Solovey emigrated from Russia, and settled in New Jersey with her husband, two children and a grand-daughter. She appeared in Russian films, worked for Russian radio in New York and played in several stage productions of "Bluzhdayushcie zvezdy" (aka.. "Wandering stars") troupe at the Russian area of Brighton Beach. In 2007 she appeared in supporting role as Kalina in We Own the Night (2007), a criminal drama about the Russian mafia. Elena Solovey was designated People's Actor of Russia. Since 1990s she has been teaching children of Russian emigrants at "Etude" acting school in New Jersey, USA.

Faith Hubley Mini Biography

Faith Hubley (née Faith Elliott) was born in 1924 in the Hell's Kitchen area of Manhattan. She left home without completing high school to go to Hollywood to pursue a career in filmmaking. She began as a messenger at Columbia Studios, but eventually worked as a sound-effects and music editor. During her time in California, she met 'John Hubley', an animator with Disney Studios, whom she married in 1955. A pro-union political activist, John was blacklisted from Disney. Thus began Faith's and John's filmmaking partnership. Many of their films featured the voices of their four young children. They won their first Oscar for their film, Moonbird (1959) in 1959. Their second Oscar was for The Hole (1962) in 1962. The Hubleys were also lovers of jazz, and several of their films feature the voice and music of 'Dizzy Gillespie'. They also contributed many animated segments to the legendary and beloved children's shows "Sesame Street" (1969) and "The Electric Company" (1971). Sadly, John died during heart surgery in 1977. Faith, however, continued to make a new animated film each year until her death from cancer in December 2001.

Don Michael Paul grew up in Laguna Beach, California. He attended California State University at Fullerton where he studied Theatre Arts. He juggled his time acting on stage while working as a bellman at the Sheraton Newport Beach. During this time, he starred in over 50 commercials, working with some of the great directors/cinematographers: Jordan Cronenweth, Caleb Deschanel and Joe Pytka. After college, he moved to Los Angeles to pursue his dream of making movies. Don's most known for his performance as Young Wright in the Kurt Russell, Kelly McGillis movie "Winter People" and Craig Bodi on the FOX series "Models, Inc." Don began writing early in his career and soon he co-produced his original screenplay "Harley Davidson and The Marlboro Man" with Mickey Rourke and Don Johnson. Alongside his mentor and producing partner, Jere Henshaw, Don gained valuable onset experience. From there, he's gone on to act, write and direct in both mediums. His feature film directing career began with his screenplay "Half Past Dead," which he made for Screen Gems and Clint Culpepper. His second film "The Garden" stars Lance Henriksen and Sean Young and premiered at "The Brussels International Film Festival" in March of 2006. Don is married with three children. He loves working in the entertainment business and has several films in development, including a golf comedy "Who's Your Caddy?", a kids superhero movie called "Furious Five", and a Border Patrol comedy "Gringos."

He was half of the comedy team "Franken and Davis," founded with 'Al Franken (I)' in high school. Their specialty, especially on "Saturday Night Live" (1975), was political satire.
Tom's friendship with 'Al Franken (I)' nearly ended for good in the early 1990s, but in the Star Tribune, Oct 18, 2003, he claimed, "I still love 'Al Franken (I)' like a brother," going on to say, "I'm happy for his success. He's always been able to piss people off; now he's finally directing it at the right people. If he wants to come up and get a barbecue going, it's an open-ended invitation." Shortly thereafter they reconciled and Tom was invited to appear on the "The Al Franken Show" at Air America radio, where, among other characters, he portrayed a Native American who - hilariously - insisted that his tribe's beliefs ought to be taught alongside creationism in Christian-minded schools.
In 1975, Franken and Davis were hired by 'Lorne Michaels' to fill a single apprentice writer slot; they split one salary of $350 per week.
In a June 8, 2006, appearance at the State Theatre in Minneapolis, together with 'Al Franken (I)', Davis did a live performance featuring a skit in which he impersonated a Jack Daniels Distilleries executive, Frank Wade (or some similar name), who was invited to speak about "what to do if you're drunk and you absolutely have to drive." Davis says, among many other satirical lines, "If I had to be in an car crash, I'd rather be drunk." Franken looks at the audience and says, in a subdued manner, "I can't fight that logic, I guess."

Matthew Perniciaro was born in Smithtown, New York on October 27th, 1979 and later moved with his family to Raleigh, North Carolina, where he spent the majority of his formative years and attended the Ravenscroft School. After a brief period at New York University, Perniciaro decided to move to Los Angeles and pursue his career in film. After spending three years working in the world of international film distribution, Perniciaro set out to produce Standing Still, from a script he cowrote with Timm Sharp. Robert Wagner Mini Biography

Robert Wagner was born in Detroit, and his family moved to Los Angeles when he was seven. Always wanting to be an actor, he held a variety of jobs (including one as a caddy for 'Clark Gable' while pursuing his goal, but it was while dining with his parents at a restaurant in Beverly Hils that he was "discovered" by a talent scout. He had a bit part in The Happy Years (1950) but it was a small part as a crippled soldier in the 'Susan Hayward (I)' film With a Song in My Heart (1952) that got him attention. His fresh, all-American looks landed him a contract with 20th Century-Fox, which put him in a succession of undemanding roles in Technicolor pictures where his looks were more important than his talent (Beneath the 12-Mile Reef (1953), Prince Valiant (1954)), but he did manage to show that he was indeed an actor of talent in several showy roles in smaller pictures (A Kiss Before Dying (1956), Between Heaven and Hell (1956)). As he became one of Fox's rising young stars, the studio, as was customary back then, set him up with a host of nubile young actresses, among them 'Debbie Reynolds (I)'. While the pairing didn't lead to any romance, it did lead to a lifelong friendship. In 1957 Wagner fell in love with teenage actress 'Natalie Wood (I)'. They married on December 28, 1957, in Scottsdale, Arizona. Hollywood trumpeted their marriage as the most "glittering union of the 20th century". Robert (RJ to his friends) and Natalie quickly moved into a $150,000 mansion on Beverly Drive in Beverly Hills. He and Natalie were deeply in love and appeared to be the perfect couple, but were actually living on the edge and were strapped for cash. RJ was being overshadowed by new male leads like 'Marlon Brando' and 'Paul Newman (I)'. Natalie was placed on a 14-month suspension with Warner Bros. for refusing to do a movie in England. These problems led them to divorce after less than four years of marriage. He took the divorce hard. Wagner appeared opposite 'Steve McQueen (I)' in The War Lover (1962), and still trying to escape his pain, he went to Europe to make the movie The Longest Day (1962). In Europe he met with his old friend 'Marion Marshall'. They married on July 22, 1963 and he helped raise her two sons by director 'Stanley Donen'. On May 11, 1964, the couple had a daughter, 'Katie Wagner (I)'. R.J. and Marion seemed to be very happy for the first few years, but Wagner's lagging career put stress on the marriage. In 1968 he reluctantly went into television to star in "It Takes a Thief" (1968) (later he would say it was the right move). Wagner briefly returned to the big screen opposite 'Paul Newman (I)' in Winning (1969). Wagner's career seemed to be thriving, but his personal life wasn't. He and Marion went their separate ways and divorced in 1971 after nearly a decade together. He was still in love with Natalie Wood and kept in touch with her. However, she had just married British producer 'Richard Gregson (I)' and had a daughter Natasha (later 'Natasha Gregson Wagner') in the fall of 1970. In 1972 Natalie and RJ saw each other by accident in a restaurant and suddenly the old magic was back. Natalie divorced her husband and remarried R.J. on July 16, 1972, on their yacht "Splendour". On March 9, 1974, they had a daughter, 'Courtney Wagner (I)'. Their second marriage was full of love and happiness. They were a real family and loved raising their daughters. Wagner went on to appear in the blockbuster "disaster film" The Towering Inferno (1974), reuniting him with Paul Newman, Steve McQueen, and 'Faye Dunaway'. He also starred in two successful television series. The first was the police show "Switch" (1975) with 'Eddie Albert', and the series lasted three years. The second was playing 'Stephanie Powers'' husband in the hit "Hart to Hart" (1979)), which lasted five years. His professional and personal lives seemed to be right on track. Then on November 29, 1981, his life was shattered when Natalie drowned in a freak boating accident. In 1982, Wagner began a relationship with a family acquaintance, actress 'Jill St. John'. That same year he adopted Natalie's daughter Natasha and spent the next eight years raising her and Courtney as a single parent. He and Jill finally married on May 26, 1990. Razaaq Adoti (a.k.a. Raz) was born in England to Nigerian parents. He started on the stage at age 17. While still in college, he was cast as Nathan Detroit in the National Youth and Music Theatre Company's (NYMT) production of Guys and Dolls. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in acting at the prestigious Central School of Speech and Drama. Upon graduation, he was signed by one of London's most reputable talent agencies. In 1997, he was cast in a major supporting role in Steven Spielberg's new epic, Amistad. After completing Amistad, he returned to London and worked on various television and film projects. In 2001, Adoti played the main antagonist in RidleyScott's Black Hawk Down, Yousuf Dahir Mo'alim. Since then he has gone on to co-star in Resident Evil: Apocalypse, opposite Milla Jovovich, and most recently the movie Cover, directed by Bill Duke. Born February 20, 1945, in Redlands, California, the family soon moved to Beaumont, California (between Los Angeles and Palm Springs), where his parents Jimmy and Ida Mae James built and operated a movie theater, where stars such as 'Gene Autry (I)' would occasionally stop by. After graduating from Beaumont High School in 1962, Brion attended San Diego State University, majoring in theater arts. Upon graduation he moved to New York to study acting while working a variety of jobs to support himself in the early years. He also did a stint in the National Guard. He and fellow actor 'Tim Thomerson' served in the army together and later made several films together. A veteran of over 100 television and 120+ movie roles, James is best remembered for roles such as the replicant Leon in Blade Runner (1982), Gen. Munro in The Fifth Element (1997), Big Teddy in Cabin Boy (1994), Max Jenke in The Horror Show (1989) (his personal favorite) as well as countless other parts in films like Southern Comfort (1981), The Player (1992), Tango & Cash (1989), 48 Hrs. (1982), Another 48 Hrs. (1990), Enemy Mine (1985) and Silverado (1985). Brion is survived by two brothers, Craig James of Scottsdale, Arizona, Chester James of Beaumont, California and their families.

[on his part in Another 48 Hrs. (1990) being heavily cut down] Total Recall (1990) came out a week before "Another 48 Hrs" that summer, it made 25 million. The studio panicked. My stuff was in there until one week before the film opened. They cut 25 minutes out of that movie, a week before it opened. It went from around 140 to down to around 95 minutes. They said cut all the behavior, action, comedy, done. I lost every major scene I had. That's the last time I ever cared about a movie because I went to the press screening and it was like getting kicked in the stomach, seeing what's not there. I'm the third lead and I looked like a dress extra. All the stuff that they had in the set-up, stuff in the trailer, all those scenes were gone.

I was really sick, I was doing a lot of drugs, but I told 'Sam Raimi', "Put me on, but don't say cut, let me go". He did and I went and basically I had the show. At that point, which came after Blade Runner (1982), they put me on a blacklist, because I wouldn't be in the union, and when I came up for that, they said, "You can't do the movie". They said, "We've got to have Brion James". They said, "No, he's not working for us." Finally they said, "Look, he's the only guy we want". They said, "Fine, you can have him, but we're not paying our part". So they paid their part, I worked like ten weeks for $2500. You know they say don't make waves, so I learned my lesson.
My dad built a movie theater in Beaumont, California, and by the time I was two years old I was at the movies every night. I lived in books and movies. That's where I wanted to be, in that fantasy world. I started acting in school at a very early age, putting on talent shows, acting in high school plays, that kind of thing. I guess some people are just destined to do this.
[in August 1999, when asked to what he attributes his success] Hard work. You gotta study, man. It's like any profession. I did eight years in theater. I studied two years in school in New York with 'Stella Adler', the best teacher in the world. I studied under 'Nina Foch', I did theater, I learned my craft. You got to learn how to build a character, there's a way to do it. Everything I ever did was different. I did 125 films, and over 100 television shows, and you've never seen the same character twice. I think now, in my 50s, with ['Robert Duvall'], ['Albert Finney'] and ['Gene Hackman'], those guys are getting up there in their 60s, it's my time. And I'm making sure that I push myself into their slot. So, my best work's coming.
[about Red Heat (1988)] I told 'Walter Hill (I)', "I'll do a walk-on for you, or a starring role, I don't care". He made me a film actor. He said, "Fine, now you're a film actor" in Southern Comfort (1981), and it was one of the best roles I ever had. I told Walter, "I'll do anything you want, just tell me". In "Red Heat" I had one good scene. I played this guy like a white Negro, "Snitch". So I processed the hair, wore those shoes, I made him like a real street guy. Walter Hill, he loves it.

Danny Elfman Mini Biography

As Danny Elfman was growing up in the Los Angeles area, he was largely unaware of his talent for composing. It wasn't until the early 1970s that Danny and his older brother 'Richard Elfman' started a musical troupe while in Paris; the group "Mystic Knights of Oingo-Boingo" was created for Richard's directorial debut, Forbidden Zone (1982) (now considered a cult classic by Elfman fans). The group's name went through many incarnations over the years, beginning with "The Mystic Knights of the Oingo Boingo" and eventually just 'Oingo Boingo'. While continuing to compose eclectic, intelligent rock music for his L.A.-based band (some of which had been used in various film soundtracks, e.g. Weird Science (1985)), Danny formed a friendship with young director 'Tim Burton (I)', who was then a fan of Oingo Boingo. Danny went on to score the soundtrack of Pee-wee's Big Adventure (1985), Danny's first orchestral film score. The Elfman-Burton partnership continued (most notably through the hugely-successful "Batman" flicks) and opened doors of opportunity for Danny, who has been referred to as "Hollywood's hottest film composer".

I get drawn to things that don't make any sense, and I learned early on not to resist that.
I've known Sam [Raimi] for almost 15 years. Spider-Man 2 was my fifth movie with him and all I can say is that the person who was there at the end of Spider-Man 2 was not Sam. I don't know who it was, but it wasn't Sam. It was as close to living out Invasion of the Body Snatchers as I've ever experienced. To see such a profound negative change in a human being was almost enough to make me feel like I didn't want to make films anymore. It was really disheartening and sad to see the way it ended up.
It all depends on the directors. Working closely with a director is the main job of a film composer. Interpreting what he perceives as a color, an emotion or mood is very abstract. A director tells you something he wants and then you have to run back to your music and respond with, "I think he meant something like this."
I don't think there's a trademark Danny Elfman element that has been consistent in my work. I don't hear many similarities in what I do and I don't think it's necessary that I have a particular style. Having a particular style is not bad, but I prefer to push myself in the direction of being a composer who you never know what he's doing next.
The Oingo is still there. It just got lost off of our current album cover. Since then, however, it was found by my daughter in between the cushions of our couch. Although it's a bit sticky it will undoubtedly find its way back on our next album. The horn section I'm sorry to say succumbed to the terrible flesh-eating bacteria that I'm sure you read so much about. I wish I could say that they died quietly in their sleep, as opposed to screaming in agony as was the case. However who am I to question such things in the great cosmic scheme...

Daughter is actress Adrienne Dye.
His Alma Mater, Missouri Military Academy, has a long-standing football rivalry with another nearby military academy, Kemper. Kemper was used as the filming location for Child's Play 3 (1991).
Served as a combat correspondent with the 1st Marine Division in Vietnam in 1967-68. A fellow combat correspondent in the same unit was the late 'Gustav Hasford'. Hasford wrote "The Short-Timers," the Vietnam novel on which the movie Full Metal Jacket (1987) was based.
During the Second Gulf War, Dye was hired by Los Angeles radio station KFI as a military commentator and given a two-hour radio show.

Dale Dye Mini Biography

Dale Dye was born Oct. 8, 1944, in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. He graduated as a cadet officer from Missouri Military Academy, but there was no money for college, so he enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps in January 1964. He served in Vietnam in 1965 and 1967 through 1970, surviving 31 major combat operations. He emerged from Southeast Asia with numerous decorations, including a Bronze Star for valor and three Purple Heart medals for wounds suffered in combat. He spent 13 years as an enlisted Marine, rising to the rank of master sergeant. He was chosen to attend officer candidate school and was appointed a warrant officer in 1976. He later converted his commission and was a captain when he was sent to Beirut with the multinational peacekeeping force in 1982-83. He served in a variety of assignments around the world and along the way managed to graduate with a BA degree in English from the University of Maryland. Dye worked for a year at Soldier of Fortune magazine after his retirement in 1984. He spent time in Central America, reporting and training troops in guerrilla warfare techniques in both El Salvador and Nicaragua before leaving the magazine in 1985 and heading for Hollywood. He is the founder and principal of Warriors, Inc., which provides technical advisory services to the entertainment industry worldwide. Services included performer training, research, planning, staging and on-set advisory for directors and other key production personnel.
